No one quite defines Real Madrid like Iker Casillas does. Given his longevity and remarkable achievements, it is simply astonishing to think that he is just 31 years old. Since 1999, when he was just 18, he has played a part in five Liga title victories and two Champions League triumphs.

More than a decade on from his last European triumph, Casillas is hoping to deliver a 10th back to the Spanish capital. Coaches will come and go from the Santiago Bernabeu, but it seems the Spain captain never will. Only Raul and Manuel Sanchis have made more appearances in the famous white shirt, but Casillas is almost certain to surpass them before too long.
