Crouch, an Arsenal left-back & the deals still to be done in January
1. Peter Crouch to QPR
QPR are expected to be one of the most active clubs on transfer deadline day, with Harry Redknapp having been brought in as manager with one eye on his ability to wheel-and-deal the Rs out of relegation danger.
With Loic Remy, Tal Ben-Haim and Yun Suk-Young already in his shopping basket, the new manager looks set to add centre-back Chris Samba to that list after the club activated the release clause in his Anzhi Makhachkala contract.
But the most romantic deal of the day could be a swoop for Peter Crouch, a striker with whom Redknapp can hardly wait to be reunited.
"I've always taken Crouchy wherever I've been; Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham," he told reporters after his side's 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Tuesday. "I love him. Now it's a question of whether Stoke would sell him."
The indications from Potters boss Tony Pulis are positive with regards to a sale - but only, however, if he can secure an adequate replacement before the transfer deadline.
