Hazard starts kerfuffle with kick
With the clock ticking down and Chelsea’s hopes of making it into the Capital One Cup final slipping away, the Blues cut agitated figures at the Liberty Stadium as the game progressed. Rafa Benitez’s men needed to overcome a 2-0 deficit from the first leg at Stamford Bridge and were not having a fruitful time on Wednesday night.
Things went from bad to worse, however, when Eden Hazard got sick of Swansea City ball boys’ persistent time wasting and kicked out at one who was essentially lying on top of the ball to delay the taking of a goal kick.
