1. Manchester United

Crystal Palace hotshot Wilfried Zaha is the main focus as the Premier League leaders look to cement their lofty position. The Red Devils had been hot favourites to capture the young forward’s signature in January but, as Goal.com exclusively revealed on Monday, Arsenal have roared back into the race and, with both clubs holding talks, the new England star is “50-50” between the two.
With things going well for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side and the Scot an avowed disbeliever in the January transfer window, few expect much more activity from the English pace-setters. Kevin Strootman is among the names bandied about but the Old Trafford outfit look no likelier to finally sign a central midfielder than ever.
United are among those who have asked to be kept apprised of Frank Lampard’s summer situation, however, while striker Chicharito is the subject of interest from Atletico Madrid with Premier League clubs circling around Radamel Falcao and Adrian Lopez.
The Mexican’s potential departure is unlikely to worry Sir Alex too greatly, with Borussia Dortmund hitman Robert Lewandowski looking odds-on to become a United player – though in the coming summer rather than mid-season.
