Marcus Hahnemann – Like a fine wine or other American goalkeepers, Hahnemann seems to only improve with age. The 37-year-old posted his best season to date this year, anchoring the Wolverhampton defense and helping to keep the Wolves afloat in the English Premier League. Prior to joining Wolverhampton, Hahnemann carved out a niche for himself at Reading, where he spent nearly a decade.

The elder statesman of the U.S. squad, Hahnemann previously joined the U.S. national team in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, a country whose passport Hahnemann holds. His organizational skills and quick reflexes will likely take a substitute role to Tim Howard in goal.
