Valon Behrami
Valon Behrami only played in two games for Lugano, before moving to historic Italian side Genoa in his early career. After that he featured for Hellas Verona on a co-ownership deal. In 2005 he left for Rome outfit Lazio for a hefty transfer fee of €6 million. However, he's now made his way to England, a crucial player for West Ham United.
In the Swiss National team and for the Hammers he plays as a right midfielder, but can also deputise at right-back if necessary. He is a very fast, very aggressive player, but doesn’t score many goals. Behrami was born in Albania, but grew up in Switzerland and therefore decided to play for the “Nati.” His debut came against France in 2005. He has been capped 25 times, scoring twice in the process.

Valon Behrami started to play soccer at the age of 13. Before that, he was a runner and won four local titles. His mother one described him: "As a child, running was Valon's favourite pastime - he just never got tired. Even now, he can hardly sit still for a second. He always needs a ball at his feet."
