Zulte Waregem signs Nigeria's Aliko Bala

The teenage sensation was snapped up by the Essevee from the Slovak Super Liga champions in a deal that runs till 2020

Zulte Waregem have completed the signing of Nigerian forward, Aliko Bala from Slovakian side, AS Trencin on a three and a half year deal.

Aliko, 19, who joined Trencin in the summer of 2015, enjoyed a fruitful association with Martin Ševela’s side scoring six goals in 32 appearances before switching to the Belgian side.

And has joined left back, Kingsley Madu as the side’s second Nigerian on the book of the Regenboogstadion outfit.

Waregem are placed third, with 46 points from 23 games, on the Belgian Pro League log and the Jos-born player will be hoping to make his debut when Peter Drury’s men travel to the Stade du Pays de Charleroi to tackle fifth-placed Sporting Charleroi on January 27.
