The former Charlton man scored both his side's goals to see them through to the tournament's quarter finals with a 2-1 win over Costa Rica.

Either Mexico or Senegal now await in the last eight, and having won three out of four games so far Paul Simpson's Young Lions are on a roll going into the World Cup's decisive stages.

But the team already have plenty of reasons for celebration, having advanced from the second round for the first time since finishing third way back in the 1993 edition.
