Champions-elect Wolverhampton Wanderers host play-off candidates Derby County on Wednesday night.
dabblebet have suspended odds on Wolves to get promoted – an outcome which will soon be rubber-stamped – and they are as short as 1/250 (1.0) to win the Championship title.
Derby are 7/2 (4.50) to join their fellow-Midlanders in the top flight next season by winning the play-offs, although their top six place is not yet assured after a run of just four wins in 15 matches.
The hosts are 8/13 (1.62) to record a 28th league victory of the campaign with four games to spare, which would be more than five of the last seven title-winners have managed.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a full complement of players to choose from, with the exception of Carl Ikeme who continues to fight leukaemia.
The Wolves manager could also shake up his frontline after unusually starting strikers Benik Afobe and Leo Bonatini together last Friday, with Ivan Cavaleiro in contention for a start.
Bradley Johnson and George Thorne missed Derby’s 3-0 victory over Bolton with knocks, so the double-pivot could again comprise Tom Huddlestone and Joe Ledley. Sam Winnall and Marcus Olsson are long-term absentees.
Wolves too strong for Derby
Derby executed the perfect defensive game-plan to win 1-0 at Preston on Easter Monday and may try to repeat that, but there’s a crucial difference here.
Preston lack the technical finesse to open defensive opposition but Wolves can do so at any moment, thanks partly to the midfield dominance of Ruben Neves.
Victory for the home side with the -1 handicap might therefore appeal at 6/4 (2.5).
Preview and predictions
However, the Evens (2.0) on Wolves winning with over 1.5 goals scored looks a more interesting bet.
That punt has landed in 11 of their 20 home games this term and is even more tempting now they are so close to mathematically finalising promotion.
