William Troost-Ekong scored his first Turkish Super Lig goal in Bursaspor’s 4-2 win over Yeni Malatyaspor on Saturday.
The defender opened the scoring to ensure Paul Le Guen’s men maintain their fine start in the Turkish topflight.
Troost-Ekong latched on to a loose ball in Malatyaspor’s penalty area and fired a powerful shot past goalkeeper Ertac Özbir to put his side ahead in the 12th minute.
Just before the half-time break, Ghana’s Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu singled out Pablo Batalla with a brilliant pass that doubled the Green Crocodiles lead.
Three minutes after the restart, DR Congo’s Jires Kembo-Ekoko continued the party for the visitors with the third goal before Bogdan Stancu completed the rout in the 63rd minute.
Morocco’s Khalid Boutaïb and Emanuel Denning's consolation goals could not rescue the Tigers of the East from their third league defeat this campaign.
Agyemang-Badu was cautioned in the 77th minute alongside Nigeria’s Mikel Agu in the 30th minute and both were on parade for the entire duration of the game.
