On Saturday, the Foxes were resilient against the Magpies and, thus, secured victory with few minutes left on the clock

Leicester City's 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle United at St. James' Park was down to the 'team spirit', according to midfielder Wilfried Ndidi.

Joselu gave the hosts the lead before goals from Riyad Mahrez and Demarai Gray put the Foxes in driving seat.

Dwight Gayle restored parity to his side before Ayoze Perez turned the ball into his own net with just four minutes left to play to hand Claude Puel’s men the maximum points.

And the Nigeria international who won the Man of the Match award has bared down on how they secured a thrilling fightback.

“The team spirit [made it possible to win from behind],” Ndidi told the club website.

“Though it was not our best game, everyone was focused after the goal.

The 20-year-old has featured in all the 16 English Premier League matches for the King Power Stadium outfit this season helping them to the eighth spot in the log with 23 points.

Leicester will travel to St. Mary's Stadium to trade tackle with Southampton for their next top-flight game on Wednesday.
