Wikki’s Ibrahim not surprised by Kano Pillars’ fall

The Giant Elephants’ captain has boasted that their present form in the league has made them irrepressible to rival clubs in Bauchi.

Wikki Tourists skipper, Mustapha Ibrahim has revealed that he is not surprised at the manner at which they defeated Kano Pillars in Bauchi.

The Giant Elephant defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 to move to the 13th position on the log. And the defender claimed a renewed sense of purpose within the players, coaches and the management is having a positive impact on team.

“We were not surprised that we beat Kano Pillars because we prepared very hard for it,’’ Ibrahim told Goal.

“The management and the coaches have given us a new identity and poise which was lacking and now our main focus is to avoid the drop and this victory is a step in the right direction”

“The Giant Elephants would be bolstered by this result and will now turn their full attention to the relegation dogfight and also gain a semblance of their former selves after finishing third in the last campaign.”

Bala Nikyu’s side will head  to Lagos to face MFM FC at the Agege stadium in their next round of games.
