The Bauchi state government have appointed a ‘rescue team’ for the Nigerian topflight outfit following the dissolution of the former

Governor Mohammed Abubakar has approved the appointment of a new management board for Nigerian topflight outfit, Wikki Tourists.

Following an unimpressive start to the 2016/17 campaign which culminated in their ouster from the Caf Confederation Cup among others, the state’s highest authority sanctioned the dissolution of the former Isa Matori-led board last week.

The new board - tasked with rescuing the team placed 19th in the log - will be headed by Auwalu Baba Jada with Pascal Patrick and Abdullahi Ibrahim as the board’s adviser and secretary respectively.

Muhammed Abdu, Sadiq Zaria, Paul Gambar and Umar Ilelah make up the members of the management team.

Wikki Tourists will hope to get their season on track when the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League season commences. And they start with a tie against Abia Warriors on May 21.
