Bucs will be hoping to write a new chapter in their history when coach Sredojevic begins his tenure against the Chilli Boys on August 19

Orlando Pirates’ 2017/2018 Premier Soccer League (PSL) fixtures have been released, and Goal gives the readers a comprehensive guide of all Pirates’ fixtures throughout the new campaign.

Following one of Pirates’ most disappointing seasons in their long history, the Buccaneers will be hoping that a change in personnel at the club might just be what is needed to reignite the flame within the Soweto giants.

However, coach Milutin Sredojevic’s men will need to be at their very best if they are to hold any ambitions of overthrowing a dominant Bidvest Wits. While the Sea Robbers begin their campaign with a tricky outing against Chippa United, it won’t get any easier for the former PSL champions, who have both Wits and the ambitious Cape Town City lying in wait come September.

Meanwhile, the most eagerly anticipated fixture of the season, the Soweto Derby, has been reserved for October 28, but just how much emphasis will Pirates put on the derby knowing they host the African Champions only days later is unknown.

Nonetheless, If Pirates do still find themselves amongst the title chasing pack come April next year, that period could potentially make or break their season, considering that they host the defending champions just weeks before they make the unenviable trip down to Cape Town to lock horns with the Citizens on the last day of the season.
