Western Stima coach confident ahead of Mathare United test

Coach Henry Omino remains optimistic that the power men will recover and start winning matches in the Kenyan Premier League

Bottom placed Western Stima suffered a 1-0 defeat against Kakamega Homeboyz in a Kenyan Premier League match on Wednesday.

After ten matches, the power men have managed to collect six points following their one win, three draws and six defeats. Coach Henry Omino is confident the Kisumu-based side will play Mathare United with their heads high.

"The match against Mathare is a must win for us considering the fact that we have not been doing well. We played well against Homeboyz but lost because we had a slow start and allowed them to attack us. We managed to compose ourselves in the second half, unfortunately we could not get the equalizer," Omino told Goal.

"I am optimistic that we will get something from our match against them (Mathare), if we maintain the spirited performance like we did in the second half."

The 'slum boys' have not been doing well and are currently placed in the 15th position with nine points.
