The Lagos Island side came from behind to book a spot in the grand finale and their handler said they have been bracing themselves up since last year

Isale Eko Grammar School shocked Ikorodu Senior High School to progress to the final of the GTBank Principals Cup and coach, Rasheed Balogun reveals that they have been 'training since last season'.

Ikorodu Senior got the curtain raiser early in the game through Motunrayo Muhammed but an Aminat Sarumi goal immediately after the restart began the Lagos Island outfit's resurgence.

Saheed Aliyat then secured a win for Balogun's girls.

"We have been training since last season we've come here to win," Balogun told Goal.

"Actually we respect the fact that anything can happen, because in football, sometimes you play from behind. That is football.

"We went in at half time and we corrected some errors and we came back to win."

On 10-year-old Aliyat, the Most Valuable Player of the encounter, the coach says: "The last game we played she played out of instruction, completely and that's what we tried to correct and today she actually proved herself and I'm not surprised she won the MVP award."

Isale Eko Grammar School will now lock horns with Government Senior Secondary to be crowned GTBank Principals Cup champions.
