The Flamingoes boss is looking set for Saturday's showdown as he assured Nigerians that they will work hard to see off the east Africans

Nigeria U17 women head coach Bala Nikyu says his side "will fight hard" for a win as they face Ethiopia in a fight for the U17 Women's World Cup ticket.

The Flamingoes has played out a 1-1 first-leg draw in Addis Ababa and will face a crucial test in the second leg at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.

But the gaffer is not worried facing Salem Zarey’s ladies as he has great confidence in the talent and strength of his girls to claim the maximum points in Benin City.

"We are fully prepared for the game. The girls have really improved a lot after the first leg in Addis Ababa,” Nikyu told Goal.

"As a team, we tried to focus on those major areas where there are lapses in the team and the cooperation of the girls is very encouraging.

"I believe in the mentality and quality of the girls. It is a very important game and we have to fight hard if we hope to get to the next stage," he continued.

"I know they will not disappoint Nigerians because they also want to be at the World Cup and we will not joke about it.

"The determination and team spirit within the girls are very high and I can say without doubts in my mind that we will come out victorious on Saturday," he concluded.
