Ahead of their crunch Premier League game against Chelsea, Andre Ayew has urged his Swansea City teammates to be prepared to ‘fight hard’ as they continue their battle against relegation.
The Swans suffered an embarrassing 5-0 loss to league champions Manchester City last weekend which saw them drop to the 17th spot in the log, having managed only 33 points from 34 games.
And the Ghana international - aware of the importance of the Saturday's meeting with Antonio Conte’s men – has charged his colleagues to put in their best in front of their home fans.
“It’s important for everyone to put in a shift to help us get a result,” Ayew told club website.
“It’s a very important game at home and the stadium is going to be packed.
“When we play at home, the fans always have a lot of belief and get behind us.
“We have to fight hard, play our football and try to make something happen.”
Ayew will be hoping to make his ninth appearance in the outing since he arrived at the Liberty Stadium outfit in January.
