‘We believe in them’ - Amunike charges Nigeria ahead Zambia date

The former youth international handler has jumped to the support of the Super Eagles as they strive for victory against the Chipolopolo in Uyo

Former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Amunike has charged the Super Eagles to secure the crucial win over Zambia in Saturday’s World Cup qualifiers.

Gernot Rohr’s side are at the summit of the group B standing with ten points and a victory in Uyo will secure their ticket to the global showpiece.

And the former Barcelona forward has assured the team that they are not alone in the quest to secure a spot in Russia next year.

“I want to charge the Super Eagles to see their qualification to Russia and make Nigeria proud [against Zambia],” Amunike told NFF.

“We believe in them and we are behind them,” he added.

The 46-year-old also appealed to the fans to be on hand to support the team to ensure that they qualify for the Mundial.

“For the fans I want you to give more than 100 percent to the team."
