The Red Devils returned to winning ways before the international break and will hope to be the ones to end the Hornets’ faultless start to the season

Manchester United will head to Vicarage Road on Saturday looking to become the first side to take Premier League points off Watford in 2018-19.

The Hornets have enjoyed a stunning start to the new campaign, collecting four successive victories, and will hope that the international break has not stunted their momentum.

The same could be said for United, with a welcome return to winning ways enjoyed last time out against Burnley.

That success helped to ease some of the pressure which has been building on Jose Mourinho, but more is required as the Red Devils prepare to add Champions League football to their domestic workload.

Javi Gracia Jose Mourinho Watford

Manchester United desperately need to find their spark after falling six points adrift of the early pace-setters.

Watford sit among that group, with the Hornets having made the most of home comforts to burst out of the blocks.

Saturday’s clash with the Red Devils will be their fourth fixture of the season at Vicarage Road, with Burnley the only side they have faced on the road.

United’s last outing also saw them tread a path to Turf Moor, with a Romelu Lukaku brace offering welcome respite on the back of successive defeats.

Mourinho believes he remains the right man to get the Red Devils firing on all cylinders, with there still a long way to go in the 2018-19 campaign.

Gracia has already shown that he can be the coach to unlock Watford’s full potential, with the Spaniard enjoying a faultless opening to his first full season at the helm.

He could not have wished for a better start, but will be eager to avoid the curse of the Manger of the Month award having scooped the Premier League prize for August.
