Not a lot of teams have had success in Orlando this year, but most teams don’t have Sebastian Giovinco.

The Italian star was at his best in Wednesday night’s encounter, helping to get visiting Toronto FC on the board by setting up fellow designated player Jozy Altidore for the game’s opener.

Altidore returned the favor early in the second half, giving Giovinco the set up for a nice chipped finish over Orlando SC goalkeeper Joe Bendik to make it 2-0.

But the former Juve man saved his best for later as the attacker struck a beautiful free kick, taking the ball over the Orlando wall, curling it away from the goalkeeper and dropping it into the back of the net.

Giovinco didn’t have much doubt as soon as he struck it.

Two goals and an assist brings Giovinco’s numbers on the season to nine and four respectively and he very nearly had another goal earlier in the match with another stunning free kick.

Even though that shot did not manage to go in, Toronto did not need it and walked away with a 3-1 victory over Orlando. It was just the Lions second loss at Orlando City Stadium this season.
