The French striker curled home a sublime effort from the top of the box to pull his side level on the night, as Tigres cruised to a 4-1 aggregate victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps to make their way to the CCL finals.

Brek Shea opened the scoring in Wednesday's second leg, closing the gap to one goal after Tigres had taken a 2-0 win in the first leg at home.

Gignac's away goal was enough for the Mexican side to coast into the final, but Damian Alvarez added a second for Tigres on the night to give the tie its final 4-1 aggregate scoreline and set up an all-Mexican final with Pachuca, which topped FC Dallas 4-3 on aggregate in the other semifinal.
