The draw for the maiden Wafu Women's Cup group stage was made in Abidjan on Tuesday, as the likes of Nigeria, Ghana and hosts Cote d'Ivoire learned their fate.
The draw ceremony chaired by Sidy Diallo, president of Ivorian Football Federation was held at the Le Maison des Enterprises, Abidjan and attended by representatives of participating countries from Togo, Burkina Faso, and Senegal.
Nigeria were drawn against Togo, Benin and Senegal in Group B, while Ghana will square up against hosts Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger in Group A.
The first-ever women's championship in the sub-Saharan billed to run from February 14-24 feature the seven countries in the West African Zone B with Senegal appearing as guest country.
Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium, the Robert Champroux stadium, and the Parc des Sports are the three stadia selected for the ten-day competition for home-based players.
Hosts Cote d'Ivoire will face Ghana in the opening match of the competition on February 14 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium and later Nigeria will confront Benin at the same venue.
