Wafa defeated Inter Allies 2-0 at the close of mid season of the Ghana Premier League at the Academy Park, Sogakope on Saturday.
Two goals from teenager Prince Obeng Ampem was enough to hand the hosts their tenth victory of the campaign as they maintained a top table spot.
Wafa came into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak on Monday, which eventually ended a seven-game winning streak while Allies had a win over debutants Bolga All Stars.
Daniel Lomotey went past two defenders on fourth minute and laid a pass to Prince Obeng Ampem, who kept his cool and fired past goalkeeper Kwame Bash for the opener.
On 15th minutes, Isaac Twum came close to finding the equaliser with a powerful shot from long range. The former Ghana U17 star combined with Wahab Ackwei but his effort missed the target narrowly.
Komla Agbegniadan was played through by Gideon Waja on 42nd minute but the Togo international fluffed the opportunity to score his fifth goal of the campaign
After the break, Wafa continued from where they left it, causing troubles to the hosts' defence. Ashimeru almost made it 2-0 by the 49th minute when he capitalised on a howler by Allies goalkeeper Baah but the shot-stopper recovered on time to block the midfielder's effort.
Five minutes later, Wafa doubled their lead through Ampem. Ashimeru dribbled his marker and released Ampem, who lobbed his finish past onrushing goalkeeper Baah.
On 57th minute, Amoako Antwi attempted a strike from outside Wafa box as the visitors searched for a consolation goal but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
With ten minutes left on the clock, Richard Danso and Adam Musa were brought on to replace two-goal hero Ampem and Lomotey respectively, as the hosts moved men forward in search of more goals but failed to find another breach in the visitors' defence.
Wafa lead the log with 32 points, three points above Aduana Stars who play Bechem United in the Brong Ahafo derby in Bechem on Sunday while Allies sit tenth with 18 points.
