Vietnam captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết is set to join Malaysian side Kedah, according to the president of his current club Hà Nội.

According to VnExpress, Nguyen Quoc Hoi said that the move will be a loan deal as the winger has two years remaining on his contract.

The chief said that the club also received an offer from Thai side Muang Thong United, but the 26-year old prefers to move to Malaysia.

"Van Quyet still has two years on his contract so it's likely he will leave on loan only, for maximum one year.

"We advised him to play in Thailand. However, it seems he prefers Malaysia. We will leave it to him to choose his next move."
