VIDEO: The Amazons discuss Reading's promotion chances

The much-hyped rock band talk football, music, and a lot more besides in our exclusive interview ahead of the release of their debut album

Reading-based rock band The Amazons are big fans of their hometown club, and will attend the Royals' playoff double-header against Fulham, backing their team for a return to the Premier League.

The guys revealed they are nervous about the prospect of facing Fulham, "but over two games, we could have 'em!"

Reading finished third in the Championship, and take on Fulham in the semi-final of the playoffs, hoping to advance to Wembley and then to secure promotion back to the top-flight.

"Both teams will be up for it, there's a massive, massive prize at stake," drummer Joe Emmett admitted, before telling a brilliantly funny story about being drunk at one of Reading's matches.

The band also talk about how watching games at Wembley has inspired their gigs... Maybe they'll headline there themselves soon.

The Amazons' self-titled debut album is released on May 26, and is hotly anticipated after the foursome were featured in BBC's Sound of 2017 poll.
