Bastian Schweinsteiger has been acclimating himself to the local culture since joining the Chicago Fire, and nothing is more American than baseball.
To that end, the World Cup winner will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Chicago Cubs game against Philadelphia on Tuesday.

But before he took part in the ceremony, Schweinsteiger decided to enlist the help of Fire teammate Dax McCarty to ensure that his pitching form is suitable for historic Wrigley Field.

Schweinsteiger is not the only big name in MLS throwing out the first pitch for a storied baseball team this week, as New York City FC striker David Villa will be doing the honors at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.
