The FIFA World Cup has travelled all around the world – but we’re not sure it took in views quite like the stunning surroundings it found in Bogota this week.
Champion in 1998 David Trezequet accompanied the trophy from Buenos Aires as the The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola continued the South American leg of its unique journey across the globe.
“It is a privilege for me to accompany this important trophy, which I dreamed of winning since I was a child and with time was able to hold up high,” said the former France international.

And he wasn’t the only big name in attendance – the trophy soon arrived at the presidential palace where the man himself, Juan Manuel Santos, got the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lift the FIFA World Cup.
Next up was the historic Estadio El Campin where thousands of fans took the chance to take a closer look at the most coveted prize in world sports before dancing the night away.
