VIDEO: El Shaarawy nets Champions League's fastest goal to put Chelsea behind

The forward needed less than a minute to open the scoring with a fantastic volley, leaving the Blues reeling in a pivotal group game

Stephan El Shaarawy netted the fastest goal this season in the Champions League to send Chelsea behind against Roma on Tuesday.

The former AC Milan wonderkid needed just 34 seconds to open the scoring at Stadio Olimpico, leaving the Blues shellshocked in the Eternal City.

The goal was also the quickest Roma have ever scored in the competition.

Thibaut Courtois had no answer to a perfectly timed volley after the Chelsea defence had left El Shaarawy all alone at the far post
