Bastia claimed a 2-2 draw with Nantes on Wednesday, but things might have been better were it not for Alexander Djiku’s early dismissal.
The hosts actually took a two-goal lead in a Ligue 1 encounter at Stade Armand-Cesari, but surrendered that advantage in the final 12 minutes.
Djiku was already back in the dressing room by the time the goals started to fly in, with the defender receiving a red card just 10 minutes into the match.
He flew into a reckless challenge on Adrien Thomasson that caught the Nantes midfielder on the knee.
A studs-first tackle earned Djiku a straight red card, with the 22-year-old forced to watch on as his side conceded a stoppage-time leveller to leave them second-from-bottom in the French top-flight.
