VIDEO: Di Maria nets outstanding free kick

The Argentine capped an icy gaze with a marvellous shot from long range to fire PSG to a vital win in their title chase

Everybody knows that Angel Di Maria is a dab hand at set-pieces, but Friday's effort was spectacular even by his own standards.

With Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 clash against Angers poised at 0-0, the Argentine stood over the ball 30 metres from goal and warned goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier with an icy stare of intent.

The shot-stopper should have guessed what was coming next, as Di Maria launched a perfect free-kick into the net to open the scoring after 28 minutes.

Fideo went on to round off a 2-0 win late on, keeping PSG in the title hunt hot on the heels of leaders Monaco.
