Victory in Kano is a possibility, says Plateau United's James

Plateau United's Emmanuel James says his side are targeting victory against Kano Pillars as he believes getting the victory is a possibility at Sani Abacha Stadium.

The champions are eager to reclaim the top spot but they must negotiate their way past Ibrahim Musa's side in the quest to remain in the frame to retain the league diadem this season.

And the midfielder believes his side's current impressive form will help them upset the Sai Masu Gida in front of their home fans on Wednesday.

"We are expecting a tough game and we are in Kano to win. Our target is to keep up our winning form and fight hard like we did last season to win the league title," James told Goal.

"We are very determined and focused to approach the match the best way we can. We have been in great form this season and we know Kano Pillars look a different side.

"We came to Kano with a lot of expectations to win the game and we are ready for them. I believe nothing anything stopping us from winning.

"My teammates are highly motivated for the match and I think we have a lot of confidence as league champions that we can win.

"We know them very well and have played with a lot of their players and will fight to win."

Kennedy Boboye's men are in the second position in the Nigeria Professional Football League log with 12 points from five games.
