Thika United ended the 2017 KPL season just two places above the automatic relegation slots

Thika United will host Ushuru FC in the opening leg of the Kenyan Premier League play-off next week at Thika Sub County Stadium.

The two sides will face off in the promotion battle after Sports Dispute Tribunal dismissed Thika United's prayer to call off the play-off.

Ushuru, who finished third in the National Super League, will travel to Thika to face the host on Thursday, December 21, 2017, for the first leg.

The return leg will take place on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at the Narok Stadium. Thika United ended the 2017 KPL season just two places above the automatic relegation slots.

Muhoroni Youth and Western Stima were relegated to the lower league while Vihiga United and Wazito moved up to the top tier.
