The U.S. men's national team will face Venezuela in a friendly at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 3, U.S. Soccer announced Monday.
The match in Sandy, Utah, will be the team's final tune-up before two crucial World Cup qualifiers: against Trinidad and Tobago in Denver on June 8 and then a visit to Estadio Azteca to take on Mexico on June 11.
"Salt Lake City has always been a fantastic host for the national team," U.S. coach Bruce Arena said in a news release. "When you combine the elements of the fan support, the stadium and the altitude, it's a perfect match as we prepare for the critical World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico."
The match will be the fourth meeting between the two countries, with the U.S. holding a 3-0-1 record. Kickoff will be at 10 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast live on FS1, Univision and UDN.
