Ulinzi Stars have passed the first hurdle in 2017 Caf Confed. Cup and are now preparing for a battle in the next round

Ulinzi Stars defender Omar Mbongi has revealed the team's morale is high after progressing to the next stage of Caf Confederations Cup.

The Soldiers had to rely on post-match penalties to progress to the next round in the expense of Libyan side Al Hilal Benghazi, after a 1-1 aggregate score. The defender has been doing well for the team and he is among reliable players in the Benjamin Nyangweso led side.

"We are really happy to have progressed to the next stage, though it was not easy to qualify. We will continue doing our best for the club and country as we aim to go beyond the group stage," Mbongi told Goal.

Ulinzi Stars will now face Smouha of Egypt in the next round of the competition.
