Ulinzi Stars is the team to watch this season in the Kenyan Premier League according to goalkeeper James Saruni.

The team narrowly bowed out of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup tournament losing 4-3 in aggregate to Egyptian side Smouha, and last weekend registered first win in the league. Club's captain James Saruni says it has been close season in season out, but this time round the team is ready to fight for the title.

Nyangweso: Ulinzi Stars need no reinforcements

"Judging from our performance in the league, we can do better, we can go a step forward and clinch the league title. It has been close with each passing season, and I think this time round we are ready to go all the way to the finish line. It is definitely going to be tough but we will give our best," he told Goal.

The last time the Soldiers won the league was way back in 2005.
