Despite UiTM FC's round two FA Cup win over Petaling Jaya Rangers FC, the university club head coach Wan Mustaffa Wan Ismail is now worried about the fixtures his men will be facing.

On Tuesday, UiTM defeated the Rangers 2-1 at the MBPJ Stadium, thanks to a last-minute goal by Do Donghyun. They earlier opened the scoring in the 48th minute through Afif Asyraf, but the home side equalised in the 70th minute through Faizwan Abdullah's goal.

The result took the Shah Alam-based club to the third round, but they still have to contend with their Premier League matches, as well as the replay of two of their earlier league matches, which had been postponed.

Their first two league matches; against JDT II and Negeri Sembilan, had to be postponed due to bad weather, and they now are expected to play those matches within the next month, on top of the already scheduled league matches and the third round FA Cup match.

"I am slightly worried now, as we've had two postponed league matches, which will be replayed. In February alone we have seven matches, combined with the FA Cup match in March.

"In order for my men to cope with this, they need to be prepared in terms of recovery," explained Mustaffa following the match.

However he added that although their target for the cup has been achieved following the win, UiTM still have what it takes to go further than the third round due to their squad depth.

"Our target in the FA Cup is only to advance past round two, thank God today we've achieved that. But I wouldn't say no to going beyond that!"

"We can do that if we plan it correctly as this is where squad depth comes into play. Whoever is picked to play must be ready to shoulder the responsibilities," he averred.

The draw for the third round is scheduled to be held on February 19.
