Uganda coach praises Olunga in Kenya match

Michael Olunga scored Kenya's goal against Uganda on Thursday

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević has picked former Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga for praise from their friendly match played on Thursday at Mchakos County Stadium.

Olunga, who joined Chinese Premier League side Guizhou Zhicheng at the beginning of the year, scored Harambee Stars ’ goal in the 35th minute before Moses Waiswa equalized thereafter and ‘Micho’ says Zhicheng signed a quality player.

“First of all I need to congratulate Kenya for very good performance. They have very good transition. They dominated the game especially in first-half.

“At one point we were allowing Michael Olunga to arrogantly control the ball. He has shown why a Chinese club bought him because he has quality; he scored the goal.”

Kenya are hosting DR Congo at the same venue on Sunday.
