Uche Nwofor hands AS Trencin victory in five-goal thriller

The striker got his first league goal of the season as they sealed a home victory against Ivan Vukomanovic’ men in a Slovakian topflight encounter

Uche Nwofor scored his first goal of the season as AS Trencin defeated Slovan Bratislava 3-2 at the Mestský Futbalový Stadium on Friday.

Antonio Mance opened the scoring for the home team but Frantisek Kubik leveled up matters for the visitors before Giorgi Beridze recovered the hosts' lead a minute later.

In the second half, Seydouba Soumah brought Vukomanovic's men back into the contest but the Nigerian netted the winner to seal victory for Martin Sevela's men.

With the victory, Uche's side moves to fifth on the log with 44 points from 29 games.

They will next welcome Tatran Presov at the same venue in their final game of the season on May 27.
