U17 World Cup - Real Madrid target set to captain national team in India

Vinicius Juniour is currently hot property in global football. 

All of 16 years, his accomplishments on the international stage of Brazilian football has cascaded the landscape. The left-winger is already a regular with the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo senior side, paritcipating in the Brazilian Serie A. 

However, it is his record at age-group national team tournaments with the juniour Seleccao that has caught the eye of clubs such as FC Barcelona and more recenty Real Madrid.

As Brazil romped to the 2017 South American Under-17 Championship, the São Gonçalo-born winger dismantled opposition after opposition and accumulated a rapid fan following. 

Now, after scoring 19 goals in 22 games, the fledgling is set to light up the Indian subcontinent when he captains the U17 Brazilian Colts in their U17 World Cup campaign in India, 2017.

"Vinicius has everything to become a top-quality player, to move up to the senior Brazil squad and play for the biggest clubs around the world,” revealed Carlos Amadeu.to Brasil Global Tour. 

“If he remains focused on his goals, he has all the tools. He has a lot of technical qualities and is showing a cool head in amongst all the glamor that is currently surrounding him. He has remained balanced, and if he stays like that he can reach the top,” the coach further added. 

As recenty as a few days ago, the skipper was rumoured to have agreed to join Los Blancos of Madrid, in a deal worth an estimated €45 million move which will see the youngster head to the Spanish capital shortly after his 18th birthday.

Whatever may transpire, Brazil's crown jewel is set to dazzle in India - on one of the grandest stages of them all.
