Tusker FC name new captain ahead of 2018 season

Ochieng brings on board vast experience having earned more than 40 caps for national team Harambee Stars

Veteran goalkeeper Duncan Ochieng is the new Tusker captain.

Ochieng took over from James Situma, who left the club last season for Kakamega Homeboyz.

Situma was released by the Brewers alongside 14 other players in a massive change that was executed by the immediate former champions.

Ochieng brings on board vast experience having earned more than 40 caps for the national team, Harambee Stars, between 1997 and 2013.

The shot-stopper joined Tusker FC in 2014 and was an integral part of the double winning side in 2016. Ochieng will be assisted by defender Lloyd Wahome.

The towering defender is currently the longest-serving player in the Tusker FC roster having joined the club in 2013 and recently signed a new three-year contract that should take his stay at the club to 2020.

Tusker FC kicks-off their 2018 season campaign with a trip to Chemelil Sugar this Saturday.
