Tusker FC captain James Situma is confident the brewers will have a better season in 2017.

The eleven times Kenyan Premier League champions will represent Kenya in Caf Champions League as well as defending their crowns in GOtv Shield as well as the league. Situma is however, optimistic that set objectives will be achieved with consistency being the key word.

"Even last season it was not easy, we had Gor Mahia, Ulinzi Stars, Posta Rangers and many more teams that made it hard for us but at the end of the day, we went home smiling. It is going to be even tougher this season but we are confident that we will do well," Situma told Goal.

"In pre-season everyone is working hard and as a matter of fact we are building a strong side for the Champions League and local competitions."

Tusker is under new coach George Nsimbe after Paul Nkata joined Bandari.
