Tusker beat National Super League side, Ushuru FC 3-0 in a friendly match on Thursday.

The Brewers used the match to prepare for Saturday’s GOtv Shield Cup tie against Butterfly at Kinoru Stadium. The weekend match, which was initially set to take place on Sunday, was pushed forward by a day, to Saturday, July 22.

Abdul Hassan gave Tusker the opening goal in the 10th minute before Paul Odhiambo doubled the lead from the penalty spot going into the break. Victor Ndinya put the game beyond the tax men's reach with Tusker’s third goal just a few minutes after resumption.

Tusker knocked out Palos by a solitary goal in the round of 32 while Butterfly sailed through with a 2-0 win over Mwatate United.
