According to the patron and main sponsor of Kelantan Tan Sri Annuar Musa, the Red Warriors will give trials to two internationals from Africa, including in a friendly against PKNS FC on Saturday at the Shah Alam Stadium.

One of them is Gambian winger Sanna Nyassi, who last played for Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes in 2016. The 28-year old has won back-to-back Canadian Championships with Montreal Impact, in 2013 and 2014.

The other trialist is Uganda midfielder Tony Mawejje, who last played for Throttur FC in Iceland.

The reason behind Kelantan's search for new foreign signings is simple. The Kelantan FA secretary, Datuk Ismail Noor told Berita Harian that Super League (MSL) leaders JDT have made an offer for current MSL top-scorer; Lebanon international Mohammed Ghaddar.

On top of Ghaddar, Ismail also revealed that they have received offers for two of their local players. Nik Shahrul Azim Abdul Halim is a target of Melaka United, while winger Qayyum Marjoni Sabil is wanted by Felda United.
