Tottenham will resume their attempts to pounce on any Chelsea slip-ups when they take on Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Spurs are seven points behind the Premier League leaders but will be confident of keeping up the pace on home turf, where they remain unbeaten in the top flight this season.

Harry Kane made his first appearance after injury as a substitute against Watford and could return to the starting lineup, but Michel Vorm remains a doubt with a knee injury.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is also questionable and Harry Winks, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are definitely out, but Victor Wanyama should be back after sitting out the victory over the Hornets.

Potential starting XI: Lloris; Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen; Walker, Wanyama, Dembele, Davies; Dele, Kane, Eriksen.

Dan Gosling (knee) and Junior Stanislas (groin) remain doubtful for Bournemouth, while Adam Federici, Callum Wilson and Andrew Surman are long-term absentees.

Eddie Howe is boosted, however, by the return of Tyrone Mings, who is available again after serving a five-match suspension.

Tottenham are odds-on 3/10 favourites to win at home, according to Oddschecker , while Bournemouth can be backed at 12/1 and the draw is available at 5/1.

Harry Kane is favoured to score the first goal on his comeback to the starting XI at 11/4, while Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli can be backed at 7/2 and 9/2 respectively to break the deadlock. Benik Afobe is the favourite for the Cherries at 14/1.

It speaks to the progress Tottenham have made under Mauricio Pochettino that they were more disappointed not to have a second nominee for the PFA Player of the Year award than they were pleased to see Harry Kane appear again on the list.

Kane has had another excellent season but many - Pochettino included - feel Dele Alli was deserving of a nomination as well having scored more goals than any other midfielder in the Premier League.

Dele's minutes-per-goal rate is the same as Diego Costa's and better than Eden Hazard's, and he only celebrated his 21st birthday on Tuesday. He has also matched the Chelsea duo - and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has one goal more than him - for assists (five).

Mousa Dembele, Toby Alderweireld and a few others can stake a claim to belonging in the Team of the Year. In another year, Spurs could have won the title - they have only been thwarted by the incredible winning run Chelsea put together until losing at White Hart Lane in January.

For Bournemouth, anything but a loss here will be a bonus. They were on a five-match unbeaten run before playing Chelsea last weekend but will consider matches against Middlesbrough and Sunderland after this of far greater importance.
