The Turkish tactician explained that he would be opening himself up for attacks by Pirates fans if he advised the Swedish trainer

Former Orlando Pirates head coach Muhsin Ertugral has refused to offer any advise to the Buccaneers' new trainer Kjell Jonevret.

Ertugral surprisingly resigned as Pirates coach after suffering his first PSL defeat last November,

However, the former Kaizer Chiefs coach stated that things are not well at the Houghton-based club.

“I can’t offer the new coach any advice," Ertugral was quoted on Isolezwe.

Ertugral explained why he could not offer his advice to Jonevret, who will be in charge of his first league game when Bucs host Polokwane City on Saturday.

"If I were to do that I would be opening myself up for attacks by fans and be turned into a joke because they would ask why I never implemented that myself,” he added.

“That is why I cannot say anything about the new coach. Things are not well at Pirates but let’s hope they will change soon," Ertugral indicated.

"The chairman (Irvin Khoza) knows his job thus I don’t doubt he has chosen the right man for the job."

After Ertugral's departure, Bucs struggled under caretaker coach Augusto Palacios, who has since been replaced by Jonevret as a permanent head coach.
