The youngster got the curtain raiser in the quarter half-hour mark to beat goalkeeper Nicola Leali. Aaron Leya Iseka restored parity to the Essevee after connecting well with Julien De Sart’s pass in the 47th minutes.
Sandy Walsh scored the winning goal five minutes after the hour mark courtesy of an assist from Belgian youth international, Iseka.
The tension-soaked match saw Nigeria’s Peter Olayinka booked while five others were cautioned.
Christophe Diedhiou was given the marching order for a serious foul play in the 76th minutes of the encounter.
The result leaves Royal Excel Mouscron on the fifth spot on the log having garnered 13 points from seven games and will be hoping to improve on this outcome when they clash with Tubize in the Belgian Cup on Wednesday.
