T-Team face to lose Arif Fadzilah for 2-3 weeks after the he picked up an ankle injury in the 3-0 win over Perak in the Super League clash last weekend.
Arif was forced out of the Perak match after just 34 minutes of action after he was injured in a challenge.
Unless the 21-year-old recovers quickly, he's set to miss the match against Kedah on the 24 May, the last competitive match for T-Team before all competitions takes a break due to the Ramadhan fasting month.
With the Malaysia U-22 squad to be announce during that period, it does not augur well for Arif, who has been a mainstay in that team that is gearing up for the AFC U-23 Championship qualifier in July as well as the South-East Asian (SEA) Games in August.
Datuk Ong Kim Swee will be hoping that Arif recovers fully and not suffer any subsequent injuries that may forced the former national team head coach to look elsewhere to fill the left back spot.
The news also puts a dampener on T-Team's win over Perak. Having been punished with a 6 points deduction following registration irregularities, to be hit with losing a key player is unwanted news.
Luckily for them, the season takes a break after the Kedah match and T-Team will have plenty of time to nurse Arif back to full fitness before the next match against Selangor on 1 July.
