Super Cup: Tusker bundled out after losing to Yanga

The match had remained deadlocked 0-0 after regular time at the Ushuru Stadium in Dar es Saalam before Yanga won

Tusker became the first casualty in SportPesa Super Cup after losing 4-2 to Yanga of Tanzania in post-match penalties, to bow out of the tourney.

The match had remained deadlocked 0-0 after regular time at the Ushuru Stadium in the Tanzanian capital. Both sides fluffed scoring chances inside the 90 minutes, but when it came to the lotteries, the Tanzanians were spot on.

Forward Clifford Alwanga's saw his penalty saved by opposing goalie Deogratius Munishi, while Ghanaian Stephen Owusu also failed to convert. The outcome means that AFC Leopards, who had early in the day sailed to the semis, will now meet the Tanzanian giants in a mouth-watering semis clash.
