The management of the Owena Whales has commiserated with the midfielder following the death of his father

Sunshine Stars have shown their support for their player, Tope Orelope who lost his father on Saturday.

The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Shooting Stars midfielder announced the demise of his parent via Facebook.

Orelope was missing in the Owena Whales’ squad who defeated El Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League encounter on Sunday, as he was given a compassionate leave.

To show their support, the Akure based outfit took to Twitter with the hashtag #WeStandWithOrelope

Late Rauf Orelope passed on at the age of 84 after a brief illness.
